“My love for rhythm began at seven years old with drums and rock `n` roll. The year was 1990.  Since I started also playing basketball around then, it was only natural to also get passionately into rap. I wrote my first lyrics in 1998, and my first raps can be found on the band Urbaanilegenda’s release ”Legenda on syntynyt EP” under the name Aikapommi.

Rap brought along vinyl collecting and a deep dive into the history of Black rhythm music. My own music expanded into a fusion of rap, jazz, soul, and funk under the artist name Soul Valpio. At the same time, my vinyl collection grew considerably. On the shelf the records are beautiful ornaments, but on the turntables they move the listener. I love to play and share music.
